Germany Supports Ukraine with $13 Billion

The Budget Committee of the German Parliament (Bundestag) has agreed to send an additional military support of $13.01 billion to Ukraine, despite it not being included in the budget. This additional funding includes €3.2 billion to be disbursed in 2023, along with credit facilities amounting to €8.8 billion between 2024 and 2032. Three politicians representing the coalition government in the committee stated, "With the money, Ukraine can purchase weapons directly with the support of the German government, and it is important to support Ukraine for as long as necessary." It is noteworthy that Berlin has provided more than €14.2 billion to support Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion, according to the German Foreign Ministry.
