Poland Prohibits Imports of Ukrainian Grain and Food Products

The Polish government prohibited the import of grain and other food products from neighboring Ukraine on Saturday to protect the local agricultural sector, after the influx of supplies led to a decrease in prices across the region. It added in a statement, "We know that Polish farmers are in a difficult situation, but we affirm that Ukrainian farmers are currently facing the hardest circumstances they have ever encountered."
