Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, announced the launch of Russian cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea region, while authorities in some cities and regions, including Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Lviv, and Kryvyi Rih, confirmed missile launches toward their territories, noting the sighting of several missiles later on. Ukrainian media reported explosions in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Vinnytsia regions, while authorities mentioned air defense operations. Some reports indicated hearing an explosion in the Kyiv hydroelectric power station area. Russian forces began attacking Ukrainian military infrastructure on October 10, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, which Russian authorities accused Ukrainian intelligence of orchestrating.
