Indonesian student Noni Nurini Ahayani, studying at a college in Al-Azhar University in Cairo, expressed her admiration for the traditions of Ramadan and its nights in Egypt, despite missing her home and family. She stated that she loves experiencing the different Ramadan tables where residents and passersby break their fast at sunset, a tradition that dates back centuries, known as the tables of Rahman. Noni dedicates some of her time during Ramadan, which ends in about ten days, to learning and attending lessons on the biography of the Prophet Muhammad, spending her nights reading the Quran. Ahayani mentioned that she left her homeland to delve deeper into the prophetic biography through her studies at Al-Azhar and to prepare herself to help spread the teachings of Islam in Indonesia.
