Title: China Urges America to Cease Arming Taiwan

The Chinese Ministry of Defense urged the United States on Friday to "stop arming Taiwan," following the approval by the U.S. State Department for a potential deal to sell infrared search and tracking systems for F-16 fighter jets and other equipment to Taiwan worth $500 million. China called on the U.S. side to "honor its commitment to not support Taiwan's independence and to stop enhancing military relations with Taiwan."
