Mike Pence Officially Enters U.S. Presidential Race

Former Vice President Mike Pence has announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination in the 2024 presidential election, paving the way for a contest against former President Donald Trump. Pence's campaign submitted the declaration to the Federal Election Commission. Last week, three informed sources told Reuters that "Pence will kick off his campaign with a video and speech in Iowa tomorrow, Wednesday." Pence joins a group of competitors in the Republican Party, including Trump, Senator Tim Scott, and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
