Jordanian police announced today, Wednesday, that "several riot police officers were injured during clashes that broke out with demonstrators near the Israeli embassy who were setting fire to property." Authorities had previously deployed riot police to disperse thousands of protesters who intended to march towards the heavily fortified Israeli embassy to protest the Israeli military attack on Gaza.
