German police arrested 7 individuals today, Thursday, on suspicion of forming a terrorist organization with the aim of carrying out large-scale attacks similar to those of ISIS. Prosecutors stated that "citizens from Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan were arrested in western Germany, and they have known each other for a long time, having entered the country from Ukraine shortly after the war began in 2022."
A statement from prosecutors noted that they "formed a terrorist organization in June 2022 and were considering targets within Germany while trying to acquire weapons, but they did not have specific plans to launch an attack at the time of their arrest."
The suspects arrested in Germany had also been collecting funds for ISIS since April 2022 and were repeatedly transferring them to the organization abroad.
