Unknown Object Enters Polish Airspace from the East

The Polish Ministry of Defense announced today, Saturday, via its official Twitter account that an unknown object has entered the country's airspace from the direction of Belarus and may possibly be a surveillance balloon. The ministry indicated that radar contact was lost with the object near the town of Rypin in north-central Poland. "The Air Operations Center has recorded the appearance of an object in Polish airspace that flew in from the direction of Belarus. According to COP information, it is likely a surveillance balloon. A spokesperson for the Polish Regional Defense Forces mentioned that "search efforts are underway for the object."
