The UK Health Security Agency announced today, Friday, that 34 cases of the highly mutated variant of COVID-19 have been recorded in England. Among the 34 confirmed cases reported by the agency as of September 4, five cases were hospitalized, and there have been no reported deaths from the new variant. The agency noted that out of the total cases, 28 individuals were infected in a care home in Norfolk.
