Turkey has unveiled its national jet fighter "Kaan," which, upon entering service, will make Turkey one of five countries capable of producing fifth-generation aircraft. The jet has a maximum speed of 1.8 Mach and its dual engines each produce 29,000 pounds of thrust. It is expected to meet the needs of the Turkish Air Force Command until 2070. On this occasion, Erdogan stated: "We are witnessing a historic day in Turkish defense and aviation."
