Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated in a joint press conference with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto in Budapest today, Friday, that "Turkey and Hungary are closely coordinating regarding the ratification process of Sweden's request to join NATO." He noted that "Sweden has taken several steps in line with Turkey's demands in the fight against terrorism, and Turkey expects more from Stockholm." He added that "the Turkish parliament will discuss ratifying Sweden's membership request upon reconvening in October."
