The Federation of Lebanese-Gulf Business Councils, chaired by Samir Khoury, welcomed the Saudi-Iranian agreement, describing this event as a "bold step that lays the foundation for a phase of stability, security, and peace for the countries of the region and their peoples, including Lebanon."
In a statement, it highlighted the Kingdom's central and influential role in the region and its strong commitment to the interests of Arab countries and their peoples, based on security and peace, primarily focusing on growth and prosperity. The statement praised the wise leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, whose silent influence was clearly evident in this agreement, which aligns with his vision for the Kingdom's role, emphasizing its effective centrality in the region and the world, advancement, development, prosperity, and mirroring the economies of developed countries, while ensuring the region's stability based on respect for the principle of state sovereignty and good neighborliness, as well as the general benefit and prosperity for all countries in the region.
Khoury asserted that "political forces are urgently called upon today to accompany this new phase, seize this important opportunity, and engage in dialogue to produce solutions for our pressing crises, starting with the election of a President of the Republic and the formation of a new government, whose priorities should include approving an economic and financial recovery plan, implementing comprehensive reforms, and restoring relations to their natural state between Lebanon and Gulf countries, primarily the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
