Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji and Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman met on the sidelines of the OPEC conference in Vienna yesterday, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Thursday. Owji and bin Salman discussed bilateral issues between Iran and Saudi Arabia, including investment in the oil and gas sector and exploring the possibility of joint investment. The topics of discussion also included issues such as hydrocarbon trade and the development of common areas. On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia renewed its calls for Iran to begin negotiations with Riyadh and Kuwait to demarcate maritime borders in the "divided submerged area" in the Gulf.
