Sudan... Extension of Airspace Closure Due to Fighting

Khartoum International Airport announced in a statement issued late last Sunday that the Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority has decided to extend the closure of airspace to all air traffic until August 15, with the exception of "humanitarian aid flights and evacuation flights," after obtaining permission from the relevant authorities. The Sudanese airspace was closed to air traffic following the outbreak of military conflict between the country's army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces in mid-April.
