CNN Towards a Different Media Policy

David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of CNN, stated on Thursday that the channel is working to host more Republicans on its screen as part of its effort to achieve political diversity. Zaslav mentioned at a technology, media, and telecommunications conference, "Our view is that there are advocacy networks on both sides. We have the best journalists in the world. We need to show both sides of every issue." CNN has faced significant criticism for its controversial broadcast on May 10, featuring former Republican President Donald Trump, which lasted for 70 minutes and allowed Trump to repeat claims about his loss in the 2020 election. He stated that if elected, he would pardon many supporters convicted of participating in the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. The CNN host Kaitlan Collins was described by him as "disgusting." The broadcast, during which Trump spoke, attracted 3.3 million viewers, making CNN the leading news network in terms of audience size.
