Raed: No Tolerance or Leniency

The head of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, Deputy Mohammad Raed, called on political parties to come to an agreement "to choose the most suitable president at this stage, which we want to protect you and safeguard everyone's interests." During a memorial ceremony in Haret Saida, he mentioned that there are those who demand that they drop their candidate, and then have discussions; "They do not want dialogue but expect us to abandon our candidate, while they want us to listen to the names of their candidates and engage in discussions about the names they propose, and then accuse us of refusing dialogue and understanding."

He noted that it may take time "for them to grasp the truth, but that's their concern, as the presidential election and the choice of a president are related to shaping the strategic path of the country." In this context, he remarked, "There can be no tolerance or leniency in choosing the person who guarantees their safety, sovereignty, and interests, and who is not controlled by enemies over the phone. This is what we aspire to and endure for," as he stated.

Raed pointed out that Lebanon is part of a region that is moving toward settling its situations and organizing its interests, leaning toward ending aggressive wars, achieving development, and resolving problems and reconciliations among themselves. However, in Lebanon, there are those who insist on fragmenting the internal stance, fracturing Lebanese society, and missing the opportunity for Lebanese people to unite to safeguard their future, manage their affairs, protect their interests, and defend their country.
