A source informed Reuters on Friday that no gas has been found following drilling operations in Lebanon's Block 9. The Lebanese Minister of Energy and officials from the Lebanese Petroleum Administration declined to comment. The drilling consortium in Block 9 is led by the French company TotalEnergies, which includes the Italian oil giant Eni and the state-owned QatarEnergy. TotalEnergies and QatarEnergy have not yet responded to requests for comment from Reuters. The Transocean Partners rig began drilling in late August and is expected to provide preliminary results by the end of this month or in November.
