The Tunisian investigating judge for terrorism decided today, Friday, to keep the head of the Jabhat al-Khalas, Ahmed Najib Chebbi, in a state of freedom as part of the ongoing investigations into the case of "conspiracy against state security." Lawyer Samir Dilou explained to "Mosaic" that Chebbi's interrogation lasted about a minute and a half, focusing mainly on a meeting with the Italian and Turkish ambassadors and correspondences with the detained Khayam al-Turki. Chebbi stated in media remarks prior to appearing before the investigating judge that the charge of attempting to change the state's structure, which has been directed at several detained politicians, is "a baseless accusation" as the actions are being carried out in a civil political manner, without violence or weapons, according to his statement.
