Mikati Discusses Current Situation in Lebanon with Blinken

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati received a phone call from U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken this afternoon, during which they discussed the current situation in Lebanon and the region. Mikati also met with the Egyptian ambassador to Lebanon, Yasir Alawi, this afternoon at his residence. The Egyptian ambassador informed the Prime Minister about the summit hosted by Egypt tomorrow titled "Cairo Peace Summit." The conversation also addressed the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the needed assistance.
