Large forces of the Israeli army stormed the Nur Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarm city, northwestern West Bank, early on Monday. They imposed a strict military blockade after completely sealing off its entrances.
The Palestinian news agency "Wafa" reported that dozens of military vehicles accompanied by an Israeli bulldozer surrounded the camp, closing off the main street, Nablus Street, which runs by the entrance of the camp, amid heavy firing of live ammunition and tear gas canisters. Violent confrontations erupted before the Israeli army withdrew.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health revealed that four Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire in the camp. The Israeli army stormed the home of citizen Fathi Qaraawi, turning it into a military outpost, and arrested his son, Mu'min (28 years old).
