John Kirby, spokesperson for the National Security Council at the White House, indicated on Tuesday that the United States is not aware of any specific threat posed by the presence of Wagner forces in Belarus to Poland or other members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
In a press briefing, Kirby stated that the United States is closely monitoring the situation.
An unspecified number of Wagner fighters have begun training the Belarusian army, prompting Poland to start deploying more than a thousand troops near the border.
