Title: Chinese Breach of U.S. Military Bases Raises Espionage Concerns

The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday, citing U.S. officials, that Chinese citizens, sometimes posing as tourists, have infiltrated military bases and other sensitive sites in the United States in around 100 incidents over the past few years. Officials described these incidents as potential espionage threats. The newspaper noted that the Department of Defense, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and other agencies conducted a review last year in an effort to assess these incidents, which included breaches of gates, due to attempts to access U.S. Army bases without proper authorization.
