However, Davis committed a foul on Mike Conley while he was attempting a three-pointer, allowing the Timberwolves player to make three free throws in the final 0.1 seconds, sending the game into overtime.
The visiting team ended the second quarter leading 60-49 thanks to strong performances from Conley and Karl-Anthony Towns. The Lakers tied the game at 95-95 with a three-pointer from LeBron James with two minutes remaining. Both teams missed several attempts before the Lakers called a timeout with 32.8 seconds left on the clock.
