The Indian company "Skyroot," which launched India’s first private space rocket in 2022, aims to double its plans for space operations starting next year, in a move likely to boost private sector companies in this field following the successful launch of the Chandrayaan-3 mission to the moon. In an interview with Reuters, Skyroot co-founder Pawan Kumar Chandana stated that "the company aims to raise more funds by the end of next year." He added, "Starting from 2024 and beyond, we are looking at at least two launches a year, and we are likely to increase those operations as we move forward." Chandana noted that "the company plans to increase its workforce, which currently stands at 280 people, by 20 percent over the next two years to support the expected increase in launch operations." He continued, "The company also plans to raise funding in 2024 that exceeds the $51 million collected in its last funding round led by a Singapore sovereign wealth fund, without providing further details."
