The U.S. National Hurricane Center announced today, Sunday, that Hurricane Don has weakened and turned into a tropical storm. The center, based in Miami, stated that the storm is currently about 515 kilometers southeast of Cape Race in Newfoundland, carrying maximum winds of 105 kilometers per hour. The center expects Don to weaken further today, Sunday, or tomorrow, Monday.
