The United States Gathers Information on Targeting Journalists in Lebanon

The U.S. State Department stated on Friday that American officials are gathering information regarding reports of the killings and injuries of journalists in Lebanon. This came in response to a request from Reuters for a comment on the death of its photographer Issam Abdallah in southern Lebanon. The spokesperson said, "Today and every day, we stand with journalists around the world who carry out vital work that we all rely on every day, often in dangerous circumstances."
