Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi denied the existence of discrimination against minorities during his government. He discussed this topic, along with other democratic values, with U.S. President Joe Biden during a press conference yesterday, Thursday. When asked about the steps he intends to take to improve the situation, he responded: "Support the rights of Muslims and other minorities in your country and support freedom of expression." Modi emphasized that "we, along with our constitution and government, have proven that democracy is the solution. When I say it is the solution, I mean there is no room for any discrimination based on caste, belief, religion, or gender (in my government)."
