Title: Mikati Urges UN Security Council to Address Ceasefire and Palestinian Issue

Prime Minister Najib Mikati emphasized during his meeting with the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, at the Grand Serail the "importance of a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in Gaza" and called for a stance from the UN Security Council to achieve a ceasefire and resolve the Palestinian issue. He reiterated that "continuing with this violent approach is not feasible." The meeting was also attended by the head of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee, Bassel Hassan, and Mikati's diplomatic advisor, Ambassador Boutros Assaker. In another segment, the Prime Minister met with interim General Security Director Major General Elias Bessari and received both MPs Asaad Dergham and Haidar Nasser.
