The European Investment Bank announced today, Wednesday, that it will lend Morocco €1 billion ($1.06 billion) to support the country's reconstruction efforts following the September earthquake. The news of the loan was revealed by Ricardo Moreno Félix, Vice President of the European Investment Bank, after a meeting with Fawzi Leqja, the Minister Delegate to the Moroccan Minister of Economy and Finance responsible for the budget, in Marrakech on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
