Bloomberg: UK Reaches Agreement with EU to Join Frontex

Bloomberg News reported today, Tuesday, that the UK has reached a preliminary agreement with the European Union to join its European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex). The report adds that Prime Minister Rishi Sunak intends to announce the agreement next month. A spokesperson for Sunak stated that negotiations are still ongoing and the text of the agreement has not yet been approved. The spokesperson noted, "It is clear that we hope to reach an agreement that suits us and benefits our European neighbors." The spokesperson also mentioned that the UK and the European Commission are in discussions on how to address the issue of migration.
