Abdollahian in Beirut: "Supporting Negotiations and Rejecting Wars"

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian confirmed today, Wednesday, upon his arrival at Beirut Airport leading a delegation from the Iranian Foreign Ministry, that his visit is another declaration of Iran's "strong support for the Lebanese people, army, and resistance." He noted that "this visit is an opportunity for consultations with Lebanese officials," emphasizing that "Iran has always supported negotiations in the region and does not consider wars a solution." He stressed that "we have some ideas and initiatives through our bilateral relationship to improve the situation in Lebanon," considering that "new and constructive circumstances are occurring in the region, and the security and well-being of Lebanon serve the interests of the region and Iran." He was received in the VIP lounge by a representative of the Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, Deputy Ayoub Hamid, Iranian Ambassador Mojtaba Amani, Deputies Ibrahim Mousawi and Rami Bou Hamdan, and the Director of Protocol at the Lebanese Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Abir Ali, along with a delegation from the "Union of Muslim Scholars." The visit is set to last for two days.
