"Hassan, oh Hassan... we love you, Hassan" were the words chanted by passersby and those standing under the home of engineer Hassan El-Tounsi in the Khalifa area of Cairo, as he stood holding cash, throwing it to the crowd on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.
Passersby took out their mobile phones to capture the rare moment, as the man distributed thousands of pounds to the crowd as gifts for Eid. The video of the money distribution from the balcony gained significant attention. Engineer Hussein El-Tounsi threw money to the residents of the area from his second-floor balcony as an Eid gift.
A large number of residents from the Sayyida Zaynab neighborhood gathered in a joyful atmosphere under engineer Hussein El-Tounsi's home in hopes of receiving the Eid gift. The engineer has become accustomed to distributing money in this manner every Eid to bring happiness to his neighbors and the community.
