Marian Al-Hweik, the former assistant governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, has filed a direct lawsuit through her lawyer, Ashraf Al-Mousawi, before the First Investigative Judge in Beirut against OTV, accusing the station of defamation, fabricating crimes, and violating laws. This comes after the station published a highly confidential decision issued by the special investigation committee, thereby violating the provisions of Article 11 of Law 318/2001, which states that, except for the committee's decision to lift banking secrecy, all decisions of the committee are subject to absolute confidentiality. According to information, this complaint is now before Judge Farid Ajib. There are also reports that Al-Mousawi is preparing to file a lawsuit against a prominent lawyer affiliated with the "Free Patriotic Movement."
