Tunis Afrique Press reported today, Tuesday, that a Tunisian judge has issued international arrest warrants for 12 prominent political figures, including former Prime Minister Youssef Chahed and former presidential advisor Nadia Akacha, accusing them of forming a terrorist alliance and conspiracy against the state. The agency stated that "the primary investigating judge at the judicial pole for combating terrorism, overseeing the investigations into the cases of forming a terrorist group and conspiracy against state security, issued international arrest warrants" against 12 individuals. Among those targeted is also Moaz Ghannouchi, son of the leader of the Ennahda Islamic party, Rached Ghannouchi. The spokesperson added that the twelve individuals are currently outside the country.
