The EU's envoy to the United Nations said on Friday that "the bloc is still open to discussing solutions with the international organization to contribute to reviving an agreement that allows for the safe export of Ukrainian grain across the Black Sea following Russia's withdrawal from it." Before Russia announced its withdrawal from the agreement on Monday, the UN had "brokered a concrete proposal" with the European Commission to enable one of the branches of the Russian agricultural bank to connect to the SWIFT international payment system.
