King Mohammed VI of Morocco praised the performance of his country's players following the match between the Moroccan and French teams, during phone calls with both coach Walid Regragui and team captain Romain Saïss. Mohammed VI extended his regards to Regragui and the players for their "wonderful journey" in the FIFA World Cup, despite their loss to the defending champion France in the semifinals.

According to the Moroccan News Agency, the Moroccan monarch highlighted in his call with Regragui the coach's success in forming a team of players "characterized by cohesion and fighting spirit," which enabled them to make a distinguished presence in the tournament and honor the Moroccan people and global audience through their high sporting values and exemplary talent.

In his call with the team captain, King Mohammed VI expressed his "warm congratulations to the entire team." The Moroccan News Agency reported that the King conveyed a "vibrant greeting to all team members after their remarkable achievements during this cup, with wishes for complete success in the upcoming matches."

King Mohammed VI praised Regragui’s performance, noting his ability to build a strong team in just a few months after taking over as the national team coach. He added, "The team enjoys cohesion and a fighting spirit, which has allowed it to make a distinguished presence in the tournament, honoring the Moroccan people and global audience with its high sporting values and exemplary talent."
