Lebanon's acting permanent representative to the United Nations in New York, Counselor Jan Mourad, confirmed Lebanon's readiness to complete the demarcation of its southern land borders and to discuss how to address the remaining disputed points within the framework of the tripartite meetings, with the presence of the United Nations to enhance calm and stability in the region. Mourad's remarks came during a UN Security Council session that addressed the situation in the Middle East, also touching upon Israeli assaults in the south.
