An 8-year-old Bolivian boy was admitted to the hospital after exposing himself to a dangerous black spider, believing he would transform into his favorite character, Spider-Man. Local Bolivian media reported that the boy was playing near his home on the banks of a nearby river when he turned over a rock and saw the venomous black spider. He grabbed it and placed it on his hand.
The child suffered a bite from the venomous spider and began experiencing symptoms such as body aches and severe muscle spasms. Initially, the boy did not tell his mother anything, but after about three hours of pain, he recounted the story to her before being taken to a health center in a nearby town, where he was transferred to the hospital in a medical emergency. After identifying the type of spider, doctors administered the appropriate medication, and his condition stabilized in just 30 minutes.
