Armed Robbery Report

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, issued the following statement: On September 8, 2022, while a citizen was riding his motorcycle in the Tiro area - Choueifat, he was intercepted by two individuals on a motorcycle who robbed him of $30,000, 1,000 euros, and 30 million Lebanese pounds, after firing a shot from a firearm at him.

Through ongoing monitoring and investigations, the Judicial Detachment of the Southern Suburb managed to identify one of the suspects (the shooter), named H. Sh. Kh. (born in 1982, Lebanese), who has a criminal record for drug trafficking.

Through surveillance and tracking, the mentioned detachment managed to arrest him and seize the weapon used in the crime, despite his attempts to disguise himself by selling his motorcycle, buying another, changing his haircut and beard, and altering his clothing.

During the investigation, he confessed to committing the robbery in partnership with another individual nicknamed "Ali Amira," stating that his share of the operation was 100 million Lebanese pounds.

Further follow-ups led a patrol from the detachment to locate the second suspect (Ali Amira), named A. M. (born in 1986, Lebanese), who was arrested in the Haret Hreik / Barakat Street area, with a hand grenade and a firearm in his possession.

The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the relevant judiciary.
