More than 24 Democratic lawmakers from the U.S. House of Representatives are visiting Israel and the occupied West Bank this week to discuss the prospects of a two-state solution and Israeli judicial reforms, among other issues. During their time in Israel and the West Bank, the members will hold "high-level meetings with Israeli and Palestinian leaders, meet with various activists and stakeholders, and spend significant time discussing important areas for regional security." The office of House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries stated on Sunday that Jeffries and Representative Steny Hoyer will lead the group of 24 Democratic lawmakers, who will also address extremism and Iranian nuclear capabilities. The office noted that the Democratic delegation will also focus on the ongoing discussions regarding judicial reforms in Israel.
