The Saudi ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, noted during a meeting with a delegation from "Renewal for the Homeland" led by Charles Arbid, that the "invitation for Saudis to leave Lebanon came in light of the events in the Ain al-Hilweh camp, and the Kingdom is keen on its citizens wherever they are and cannot compromise on this issue." He affirmed that "Saudi Arabia has been and will continue to be one of the major supporters of tourism in Lebanon, and the upcoming period will prove this if the Lebanese reach a solution to their crisis." Bukhari touched on the "international umbrellas that Saudi Arabia has secured for Lebanon, mainly the meeting of the five countries, alongside a previous tripartite Saudi-French-American statement and the French-Saudi summit." For his part, Arbid thanked the Saudi ambassador for his "interest and appreciation of the political paper presented by Renewal and agreed on the importance of ongoing communication," emphasizing the need to "build platforms for economic, social, and political stability."
