The German Research Centre for Geosciences announced today, Tuesday, that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 struck southern Iran. The center reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of ten kilometers. There was a previous earthquake of 5.7 magnitude at a shallow depth of 10 km north of Bandar Abbas in Iran, which was felt in the UAE on October 17, 2023. It is noted that four strong earthquakes have hit Iran today, Tuesday.
