Ministry of Health Closes Restaurant in Qaber Shmun

The media office at the Ministry of Public Health announced that "the ministry followed up on the food poisoning of six people in the Qaber Shmun area, which required their hospitalization for treatment." After conducting the necessary investigations and field inspections by the healthcare team of the Aley district affiliated with the ministry, it was revealed from the test results that the poisoning was caused by consuming contaminated food at the "Akhaterk" restaurant in the Qaber Shmun area. Consequently, the district health authority decided to close the mentioned restaurant. The ministry reminded all tourism establishments and restaurants of the necessity to "maintain food safety," asserting that it "will not tolerate those who endanger people's health."
