A spokesperson for the Israeli army said on Monday that Israeli forces are fighting militants from Hamas at seven to eight points outside the Gaza Strip, following 48 hours of the largest attack on Israel in decades. Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht stated at a press conference, "It is taking longer than we expected to return things regarding the defensive and security situation."
