Health Preparedness for Security Emergencies Discussed

Labour Minister in the caretaker government Mustafa Bayram discussed today with the head of private hospitals in Lebanon, Suleiman Haroun, Dr. Hussein Shaqir, and MP Fadi Almala the necessity of health preparedness for any potential security emergency that may arise with the Israeli side, in connection with the genocide occurring against children in Gaza and civilians. The delegation informed the Labour Minister about the issues resulting from the situation of kidney disease in relation to the differences in tariffs between social security and other guaranteeing entities. On another note, the Labour Minister sent a letter to the Ministry of Finance to disburse part of the credits allocated for social security, and he also sent a letter to social security urging the adoption of a unified tariff for dialysis patients, similar to other guaranteeing entities.
