French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced via social media platform X that he will travel to the Middle East today, Tuesday, at the request of President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the situation in Gaza and regional security issues. He said, "This trip will begin in Egypt and reach the Gulf. It will conclude on Friday in Israel, marking the first visit by a French Defense Minister to this country since 2000."
