The Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated that Beijing strongly opposes the United States' inclusion of Chinese companies on the sanctions list related to Iran. The ministry added in a statement that the U.S. listed Chinese entities regarding Tehran's development of drones and military aircraft. The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden imposed new trade restrictions on 11 Chinese companies and five Russian companies for various national security-related reasons, accusing some of providing components for the production of drones for the Russian war effort in Ukraine.
