William Noon After His Release: The August 4th Case Will Not Die... It's Our Right to Express Ourselves as Long as the Investigation is Stalled

William Noon was released after leaving the General Directorate of State Security in Ramlet el-Baida, heading towards the Fire Brigade. In his first comment, Noon noted that "the detention was at the request of the judiciary and the treatment I received was respectful," emphasizing the continuation of the August 4th case, stating: "It is our right to express ourselves as long as the investigation is stalled, and this case will not die." He added: "I thank everyone who stood by us, and the judiciary must do its duty, and we will go to the investigation on Monday." Noon's mother had expressed gratitude to "everyone who supported her son's case, including MPs, lawyers, religious figures, and citizens, who stood in solidarity with her son in the rain since yesterday." It is worth noting that there was some conflict and clashes between State Security personnel and those present outside the directorate, and State Security personnel had detained a young man who was with MP Elias Hankach, but he was released shortly after.
