The Israeli military reported that several shells were launched from Syrian territory, with some landing in open areas within Israel. There were reports of renewed shelling from Syria a second time. Sirens were heard sounding in the Golan. In response to the shelling, the Israeli military announced it had targeted Syrian army positions with artillery and mortars.
